The kayak has become the best ally to discover the natural environment of Menorca and more specifically the area of Es Grau. You can discover countless spots, beaches and coves, without great physical effort and you can enjoy beautiful swimming areas where you can snorkel and spend a pleasant time with family and friends.

Single kayak

Individual kayak, comfortable and manageable by an adult or adolescent over 14 years of age.

Possibility of taking a child under 6 years old or with a maximum height of 1.15 m.

Tandem kayak

Double kayak, comfortable and manageable by two adults, two teenagers or a child over 6 years of age.

Possibility of taking a child under 6 years old or with a maximum height of 1.15 m between two adults.

SUP

Inflatable Stand Up Paddle board with great maneuverability and lightness. For adults, teenagers and children.

Possibility of taking a child under 6 years old or with a maximum height of 1.15 m.

Rental and reservations

Reservations

Our reservation system is by phone.
You can only rent a maximum of 5 kayaks per person or group.
Reservations will be held until 11 a.m.
In high season, in the months of July and August, reservations will only be accepted for departures until 10:00 in the morning.
The reservation can be lost in case of delay without prior notice.
The reservation includes: kayak, paddle, vest and waterproof bag.

Conditions

By contracting any of the services or products, the following conditions are automatically accepted.
It is essential to know how to swim and the use of a life jacket in the kayak and SUP.
The environment and the rules of the Natural Park will be respected at all times, as well as the swimming areas and the entrance and exit channel to the rental base or at any other point.
The safety instructions indicated by the staff regarding the use of the rented material and the navigable area to be covered according to the weather conditions and/or recommended distances will be respected.
The client will have previously been informed of the weather conditions in the area, even if the organization makes use of its own means and gives previous navigation recommendations according to the weather forecast. The company will not be responsible for any unforeseen weather changes.
The customer agrees to return the rental material to the same point where it came from. Any assistance transfer will have a surcharge of €20.
The company is not responsible for any personal object transported or stored in the kayak or left at the base by the client's will before, during or after the rental of the material.
Kayaks and SUPs have a weight and dimension limit that must be respected, for the proper functioning and safety of the device, according to the indications of the base staff.
The rented Kayak or SUP will only be used to be propelled with the paddle. In no case to be pulled by an assisted propulsion system if it is not in case of assistance from the company.
The payment of the lease will be made before the use of the material.
The client undertakes to return the material at the time indicated prior to the lease. In case of exceeding the contracted hours, the proportional part of the delay must be paid according to the established rates.
The company reserves the right of admission to rent material to people who are under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or others. The lessee company will not have any civil, administrative or criminal responsibility derived from said non-compliance.
The client undertakes to use the material only to carry out the activity for which it has been designed and for which the company rents it.
The company undertakes to rent the material and accessories in good condition. In the case of returning material in poor condition, broken due to misuse, loss or abandonment, the following amount will be paid:

Recommendations

It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that can get wet.
Swimsuit, lycra shirt, sandals or booties, towel and snorkel mask are essential.

Open from May to October.

The schedule is variable according to the months of the season:

From 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May, October and from September 16 to 30.
From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from June 1 to 14 and from September 1 to 15.
From 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from June 15 to August 31.

What can I see or visit with the kayak?

From Es Grau beach you can reach the island of En Colom, an integral and protected part of the Natural Park. There are two essential beaches where you can disembark with the kayak. They are ideal for snorkeling and discovering the beauty of the Posidonia meadows or swimming in its crystalline waters.

Between the big island and the island of En Colom, we find Es Pas, a stretch of transparent water of great beauty and normally calm, which separates the islet from the main coast, which is home to some small beaches and spots that can be visited by kayak.

A little further north we find the beaches of Tamarells del Nord and Sa Torreta. They are beaches of great natural value. Its dune system preserved by the dry leaves of Posidonia and its meadows in the water are interesting.

How much minimum time do I need to do the previous tour?

The roundtrip to the islet in a double or individual kayak can be done in a minimum of 2 hours, including a moment of enjoyment and swimming on its beaches. If you want to discover the area a little more, such as the little beaches of Es Pas, Tamarells del Nord or Sa Torreta, the time needed will be longer.

It will also depend on the wind forecast of that day, it can increase the time of paddling to reach certain places or the return according to its direction. Our team will provide the weather forecast information at the time of departure.

Getting to the island by SUP can be more physically demanding than by kayak. It may require more time if the experience is low or the technical level is low.

How far is the island of En Colom?

The island of En Colom is about 200 m away from the main coast at its nearest point. Leaving the rental base, the distance is greater, but the navigation time is usually less than 30 minutes on average.

A minimum of 2 hours round trip is recommended to calmly visit the islet.

How far in advance should I book?

It must be reserved at least 12 hours in advance.

Is it mandatory to wear a vest or PFD?

The vest is included with the rental material and it is mandatory to wear it while paddling.

Can you navigate and stop anywhere?

The beaches are marked with lines of yellow buoys that demarcate the swimming areas that cannot be crossed by kayak or SUP. The way in and out of some beaches is marked with the same line of buoys with a red and a green buoy, exit and entry.

On the beaches of the island of En Colom, there is a specific area on the right, to leave the kayaks at the landing.

Is it easy to capsize in a kayak?

Kayaks do not capsize easily if the center of gravity is kept centered and low. Otherwise, they can tip over, but it is also easy to turn it around and go up again.

Is it essential to have previous experience?

To rent material on the beach, no previous experience is necessary, but it is advisable to know how to swim. Our team will give you prior instructions to be able to handle the paddle and be able to navigate in a kayak.

Where can you leave your belongings?

With the kayak rental, a waterproof bag is included to be able to take essential and valuable things with you: towel, t-shirt, mobile phone, keys, wallet... Water and snorkel can be left outside the bag.

Anything else can be left on the beach to the side or in the rental base for courtesy. Under no circumstances, neither the organization nor the team will be responsible for the objects or belongings deposited in the base or objects lost during that period.

We recommend taking only what is essential for the activity and not taking what you do not need during the navigation to the main beach.

Where we are?

We are located on the beach of Es Grau, walking a few meters from the town's parking lot, next to the lifeguard tower located in front of the dune system.
